barbaraneeleyyalichAt this point in life, we sometimes get the feeling that we are survivors, don’t we?

But the sturdiest group of all may be those members of the Class of 1959 who were inducted into the Fifty Year Club last October. They were also treated to the coldest temperatures in Homecoming and Parents Weekend history! They trudged through it all in great spirits, though, and we’re happy to have them as our newest members.

We look forward to welcoming the Class of 1960 this October and hope for bright sunshine and a big turnout.

The alumni office has prepared some highlights from the recent Fifty Year Club Survey. As I looked over your comments, it was amazing to read about your CC experience, your continued connections with CC friends over all these years, your own accomplishments and, yes, your frankness about some of your concerns. We take this information very seriously. And thanks for taking the time to work through the four pages.

We’ve recently had some well-attended events: At the El Paso Club, the World Arena for a CC vs. Wisconsin hockey game, and the Denver Country Club. This spring, we met with Professors Bill Hochman and Bob Loevy who gave their overview of all things political and electoral.

Please send in class notes! We know you are taking interesting trips, are active in your communities, and are doing some special things. Please think about coming to campus for Homecoming, October 8-10!

Sincerely,

Barbara Neeley Yalich ’53, president, Fifty Year Club
