Christopher DeNatale, M.D., who graduated from New York Medical College in 2005, is an anesthesiologist at New York University’s Langone Medical Center. His wife, Anna McGee DeNatale, graduated from Columbia University Teachers College with her M.A. in 2004 and is a teacher at North Shore Middle School in Glen Head, N.Y. They have one child, Christopher Edward DeNatale, Jr., who was born in 2009.

Carson Bennett received his MFA in creative writing from the University of New Mexico in 2007 and is an instructor of English at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. • The following piece was on www.skinet.com: “Since 2000, Julia Niles has worked as a ski and rock climbing guide in the Alaska Range, Argentina, Ecuador, the North Cascades, the Tetons, and Canada, including a tenure as a Jackson Hole Mountain Guide. She recently acquired specialized certification through the American Mountain Guides Association, which makes her only the fifth American woman to earn those credentials. “I thrive when waist deep in powder far in the mountains,” Niles says. • Lauren Sprague received her J.D. from Catholic University of America in 2010. She will continue to live in Washington, D.C. and work for the Securities and Exchange Commission after law school graduation.

Sarah Schuster married James Moyer in April in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. After graduation, David will be moving back to Denver, where he will be doing his residency in internal medicine at the University of Colorado. • Erin Spenner married Chase Hutchinson at Shove Memorial Chapel on July 4, 2009. Alumni in the wedding party were: Benny Hoatam ’04, Jenn Gonzales Koch ’04, Tamara Valdes Werner ’03, and Paul Mandelson ’07. Abigail Aline Frank graduated from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine with the degree of doctor of osteopathic medicine on May 29. Abigail plans to enter the family medicine program at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte, W.Va. She and her husband, Robert Frank, have a daughter, Maya. • Caroline Moore is managing director of the Halo Institute, a nonprofit business incubator that connects entrepreneurs with the resources, strategies, and business counsel necessary to increase their early chances of success and societal impact.

Elizabeth Nelson married Raffaello Sacerdoti ’03 on September 19, 2009, at the Brown Palace Hotel in Denver. Elizabeth is a real estate broker with Fuller Sotheby’s International Realty and Raffaello is working as a geologist for Encana Oil and Gas in Denver. Jenny Dahlstrom and Paul Campos were married on October 4, 2009, in Tarrytown, N.Y. They now reside in Westminster, Colo. Jenny is also a J.D. candidate at the University of Colorado Law School. • Allyson Avery married Lucas Farnham ’05 at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs on September 26, 2009. Many CC folk attended. Peter Maiurro ’05 was the officiant. Allyson and Lucas live in Portland, Ore., but may be moving back to Colorado Springs soon. • Malcolm Murray recently shot, directed, and edited a film, “Up There,” for beer-maker Stella Artois. The film chronicles the painting of a billboard on the side of a building at the corner of Broome and Crosby streets in Soho. The film premiered at a theater in New York City in April. You can watch the 13-minute-long film at www.uptherefilm.com. Malcolm, who is an independent filmmaker and director at San Francisco creative production company Mekanism, presented his first feature-length documentary, “Camera, Camera” in competition at the Los Angeles Film Festival in June. An East Coast premiere followed at the AFI-Discovery Channel Silverdocs Documentary Festival outside of Washington, D.C. Mike Meyer ’07 served as the writer and interviewer on “Camera, Camera.” • Rachael Degurse, M.D. graduated from Saint Louis University School of Medicine on May 15. • Thanks to Darcy Goodman ’71 for letting us know that Gena Goodman Campbell ’06 was named one of 35 Innovators Under 35 by 1,000 Friends of Oregon. Gena works in Bend, Ore., for the Oregon Natural Desert Association. She was instrumental in passing the Badlands Wilderness Bill, which was signed into law in 2009 by President Obama. Gena also discussed passage of the bill on Oregon Public Radio. Gena brought ranchers, farmers, and environmentalists together to support this bill, which created the Badlands Wilderness.
