Ted Morton was appointed minister of energy for the Province of Alberta, Canada, in October 2011. Previously, he served as minister of finance and minister of sustainable resource development. He continues to serve as the representative for the District of Foothills-Rocky View in the Alberta Legislature. • Charlie Roudabush has retired from 30 years in hotel marketing, primarily with Marriott Hotels and Hyatt Hotels and Resorts. He resides in Albuquerque, N.M., and directs his energies into drawing and painting.

Richard Tharp received a Ph.D. in theatre and performance studies from the University of Maryland at College Park, in May 2010. He is currently director of educational theater programs for Kaiser Permanente, mid-Atlantic states region.

[singlepic id=180 w=320 h=240 float=right]Debby Dahl Edwardson was named a finalist for the National Book Award in October for her young adult novel, “My Name is Not Easy,” the story of three Iñupiaq children living above the Arctic Circle. • Attorney Manuel Martinez received a civil rights award in November 2011 from the NEWSED Community Development Corporation, a Denver nonprofit that serves hundreds of clients in areas such as affordable housing, foreclosure prevention counseling, and business support. Other recipients included former Denver mayors Federico Pena and Guillermo “Bill” Vidal.

Richard Skorman is heading up a “Park Solutions” team formed by Colorado Springs Mayor Richard Bach. The team is charged with looking at ways to balance opportunities for citizens with fiscal sustainability based on current resources.

E. “Quinn” Fox and his wife, Nancy, moved to Washington, D.C., last summer, where he serves the National Presbyterian Church as associate pastor for adult education and discipleship.

Peter Neupert has joined the firm of Health Evolution Partners, a health-care buyout firm, as operating partner. He is a health-care information technology leader who is known globally for his experience building major health-care information technology products and bringing them to market. He most recently served as corporate vice president of the Microsoft Health Solutions Group.

Bob Kline is the founder of Medivance, which was acquired by medical device firm C.R. Bard, Inc., in October 2011. About 70 people were working at the Louisville headquarters of Kline’s firm when the acquisition was completed. Since its founding, Medivance has raised about $50 million in venture capital funding from investors such as Camden Partners, Cross Atlantic Partners, and Partisan Management Group.
