Associate Writer Position Open at Bennington College

Job Description:

With an ability to build a narrative across platforms and a strategic mindset, the associate writer will serve as an on-campus reporter and a key member of the College’s content development team.

The associate writer will create original content and adapt multi-media stories and news for digital channels. This person will have a capacity to write in a broad range of styles, including but not limited to long-form feature-style or essays, media releases, and social media content. The associate writer will be someone with a deep appreciation of well-crafted language, of course, but also an awareness of when an image can be worth a thousand words.

The associate writer will be responsible for multiple regular communications with audiences including alumni and families. Successful candidates will demonstrate flexibility, curiosity, and an ability to build relationships across the institution.
