Careers in Architecture and Design: a Panel of Recent CC Alumni

Several recent alumni working in the design and architecture fields will take part in a panel discussion as part of Design Week (Block 6, Week 3). They will discuss their careers, what influences shaped their decisions and how their CC education prepared them for success.

Participating alumni include:

Susan Hoff  CC ‘06  founded her own company in San Francisco that manufactures high-end products using recycled canvas sails and leather horse tack.   www.susanhoff.com/   She will be working on the design of a screen for Boettcher Health Center in collaboration with the Design Workshop class during Block 6.

Logan Roberts   CC’ 10 founded a design company InkMule in New Orleans.  His company designs creative imagery and prints high-end apparel.

Michelle Yates  CC  ’12 recently received her Master’s in Architecture from the University of Washington and is currently an architectural intern at  Bassetti Architects in Seattle WA.

Julia Belamarich  CC’ 14, a free-lance art director and designer, is currently the Design Fellow at Colorado College.  She is working with the Art Department and the Innovation Institute to devise connections between technology and design.

Elena Foraker CC ‘15  is an artist, illustrator, and designer in Oakland, CA.  She works at  Minted, a Design Marketplace.  She is currently applying for graduate programs in Design.

The panel is part of Design Week at CC, sponsored by the Art Department Design Fund.
