Game Day Intern
LOCATION: United State Air Force Academy
DURATION: August 2019 – April 2020

The Air Force Athletics Marketing department is seeking enthusiastic interns interested in gaining hands-on experience with a D-1 collegiate athletics program. This position will provide interested candidates with the opportunity to learn behind-the-scenes operations of event production and fan experience. These highly motivated individuals will be key contributors in many facets of the event production such as in-game promotions, contests, fan interaction, and coordination of talent performances.

• Execute in-game promotions and contests
• Gather contestants for promotions
• Coordinate on-camera hits with emcee, anthem singers, groups, and other talent
• Set up and facilitate fan engagement activities, including prize giveaways
• Gather, post, and share content on social media
• Assist fans as needed to enhance their overall game experience
• Assist with all post game tear down and clean up

• Flexible schedule (shifts include nights, weekends, holidays)
• Work effectively within a fast-paced team environment
• Communicate and engage with internal clients, vendors, or fans with a customer first attitude
• Stand/walk for an extended period of time
• Think creatively and have fun in a team environment
• Lift up to 50 lbs
