Rodriguez & Moretzsohn, PLLC, is looking for a paralegal to help in their Corpus Christi, Texas office. A good fit ultimately would be someone with high energy and great passion to see detainees all the way through the process of bonding out of detention and hearing the merits on their final case.
Applicants must demonstrate a passion for working in immigration, strong communication skills, and attention to detail. Applicants must also be able to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines. The successful candidate will be required to:
1. Perform administrative tasks, prepare cases for trial, draft and prepare court filings and communicate with court and immigration officials.
2. Coordinate calendars, organize case files, gather and organize evidence, and communicate with clients and witnesses during life of a case.
3. Communicate with court clerks, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, law enforcement at all levels, medical and professionals etc.
4. Moderate Spanish is a plus.
This is full time work, $15 an hour.
