Join Mark Glaze ’92, CC alum and former Executive Director of the bi-partisan coalition Everytown for Gun Safety<\/a>, for a lunch session titled “From CC to Fighting for Gun Control”. Mark has a degree in Political Economy from CC and a JD from George Washington University Law School. He’s also the son of a licensed gun dealer and NRA member.\u00a0According to the Wall Street Journal, after the Sandy Hook mass shooting, he became “the face of the gun control movement.”<\/p>\n

Prior to beginning his consulting practice in June 2014, Mark \u2013 the son of a licensed gun dealer and NRA member \u2013 served as Executive Director of Everytown for Gun Safety, a bipartisan group chaired by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg. Under his leadership, the coalition grew from eight full-time employees to more than 80, and from 450 mayors to more than 1,000 from 46 states.\u00a0 The mayors were joined by more than 2 million grassroots supporters and 2,000 grass tops advocate-lobbyists, including gun owners, law enforcement officers, gun violence and domestic abuse survivors, faith leaders and educators.<\/p>\n
