Per the CCSGA Constitution and a unanimous vote of Executive Council, an impartial Election Commission is charged with administering the Fall CCSGA Election. Election Commission Decisions
9/16/12— Each student will have four votes for at-large representative. The decision was approved 6-0.
9/17/12— A candidate who inadvertently turned in paperwork late was allowed to run. The decision was approved 6-1.
9/18/12— If multiple candidates run for Bemis/McGregor representative, than a special election will be held on Monday to determine the winner. The decision was approved 7-2.
9/19/12— Each student may use their four at-large votes however they’d like (e.g., put all four votes on one candidate, distribute one vote each to four candidates, etc.). The decision was approved 7-0.
9/19/12— Max Hittesdorf may run for Bemis representative even though he decided to run after the deadline had passed. His name will not appear on the ballot. The decision was approved 7-0.
Election Commission Announcements
9/15/12— Candidates on election day shall not provide computers to encourage students to vote. Carrying around a computer to solicit votes is strictly prohibited. Additionally, any campaigning on election day shall not include the physical use of computers to encourage students to vote. Candidates are allowed to post information online.
