2018 National Theme: “Conflict & Compromise”
What is History Day?
All Middle and High School age students (grades 6-8 & 9-12) are invited to “DO” History by preparing a research paper, a multimedia documentary, a web site, a dramatic performance or an imaginative exhibit on a topic of their own choosing.
Projects will be judged on research, primary sources, historical accuracy, presentation of thesis and argument and on how well they relate to the national theme.
Pikes Peak/Colorado Springs Regional On-line registration:
REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED no new entries will be accepted.
If a group member of a registered group has not yet filled out a form, that member may and must fill out and submit the registration form.
February 24, 2018: All REGISTRATION CORRECTIONS AND FEE PAYMENTS ARE DUE
February 15, 2018: Paper Entries Due
Turn in four copies of your Paper Entry to:
Worner Student Campus Center
902 N. Cascade Ave. (NW corner of Cascade and Cache la Poudre)
February 15, 2018: Web Site Entries Must be Published
(Please note: Entries in the Paper and Web Site categories must be completed and turned in BEFORE the regional competition. Judges need extra time to evaluate these categories.)
February 25, 2018: Last day to make title changes for all non paper/web entries
Regional Contest: March 3, 2018
Colorado State Contest: May 5, 2018
NHD National Contest: June 10-14, 2018
