2017 National Theme: “Taking a Stand in History”
What is History Day?
All Middle and High School age students (grades 6-8 & 9-12) are invited to “DO” History by preparing a research paper, a multimedia documentary, a web site, a dramatic performance or an imaginative exhibit on a topic of their own choosing.
Projects will be judged on research, primary sources, historical accuracy, presentation of thesis and argument and on how well they relate to the national theme.

February 24, 2017: All REGISTRATION CORRECTIONS AND FEE PAYMENTS ARE DUE
February 10, 2017: Paper Entries Due

February 10, 2017: Web Site Entries Must be Published
(Please note that entries in these two categories must be completed and turned in BEFORE the regional competition. Judges need extra time to evaluate these categories and will finish judging during the three weeks before the regional contest.)
February 24, 2017: Last day to make title changes for all non paper/web entries

Colorado State Contest: May 6, 2017
NHD National Contest: June 11-15, 2017
