Lodging & Transportation
We have arranged for a special conference rate of $149/night USD at the Antlers Hotel, Colorado Springs.
October is a busy tourist time in Colorado Springs, so it is possible the Hotel will sell out. Please be sure to make your reservation as soon as possible.
The Antlers is approximately 1 mile from the Colorado College campus. Since there are few lodging options within walking distance of campus, we strongly encourage conference participants to book their stay at the Antlers. Since the weather in Colorado Springs can be unpredictable in late October, we will have shuttles running in the mornings (before the first panels) and evenings (after the final panels) to transport conference participants from the hotel to campus.
Getting to Colorado College
Many airlines fly directly to Colorado Springs without requiring you to switch planes in a hub city. The Colorado Springs airport is a 20-minute drive from the conference hotel. The cost for a taxi is usually $25-30.
Since Denver International Airport is approximately 80 miles from campus, we encourage you to fly directly to Colorado Springs. If you choose to fly into Denver, you can find information on shuttles from the airport at www.coloradoshuttle.com.
From the Antlers Hotel to Colorado College
Shuttles will run each morning, starting at 8:15am, and will continue every 15 minutes or so until 8:50. Shuttles will drop-off at Cornerstone Arts Center. All sessions (including plenary and keynote lectures) will take place in Cornerstone. Shuttles will also pick-up outside Cornerstone immediately following the evening sessions.
The walk from Antlers to campus is just over a mile. Upon exiting the Antlers’ lobby, turn North onto Cascade and continue until reaching campus. Cornerstone Arts Center is on the south/east corner.
