Remembering Reuben Mitrani ’14
Today, the Colorado College community celebrated the life of Reuben Mitrani ’14, who passed away this past fall while studying abroad in Switzerland. Reuben was a much loved member of our community and is greatly missed by his CC friends. Thanks to Wooglin’s Deli for hosting the celebration today – naming a sandwich in Reuben’s honor (the Reuben, of course) – and for their generosity in donating some of the revenue from the event to a fund in Reuben’s honor.
Jesse Paul, a CC senior and good friend of Reuben, wrote the following about the event:
“A few weeks after Reuben’s passing I tried my best to put his life to words in a remembrance article published in The Catalyst, outlining my dream of having a Reuben’s Reuben somewhere on campus. A motivated parent of a CC student who read that article called up Wooglin’s and set this entire commemoration in motion, to which we owe her great thanks. The determination of that parent is a symbolic representation of the togetherness of our community, and an important reminder that all of us at CC really are a family. We now can have a little bit of Reuben anytime we want it.”
