Another inspiring CC alum
A few weeks ago, I had the honor of presenting Bryce Rafferty with his Colorado College diploma. Bryce was paralyzed from the chest down in 2009 while studying abroad in Switzerland during his junior year at CC. A year after his accident, Bryce returned to CC to resume his studies and, in December 2012, he graduated with a major in International Political Economy. Bryce’s courage, sense of humor and positive attitude are inspiring. I was pleased to hear from Bryce and his father, John Rafferty, that CC was an incredibly supportive and accessible environment for Bryce. They expressed gratitude for the special support of Jan Edwards, CC’s Director of Disability Services, and Professor Drew Price-Smith, Bryce’s advisor.
You can read more about Bryce’s story on his HopeHelpLive webpage, which includes two powerful videos – one tells his original story and the other documents his final year at CC.
Congratulations Bryce!
