Robert Adams: A Place Apart

On Monday, I enjoyed a special treat – IDEA Space Curator Jessica Hunter-Larsen and two student curators (Jeff Moore ’13 and Sarah Kelsey ’13) gave me a tour of the exhibition Robert Adams: A Place Apart. Adams’ photographs celebrate the beauty of the American West, including Colorado Springs as Adams taught English at Colorado College in the 1960s. He left the college in 1970 to become a full-time photographer and today his photographs are held in several major museums, including the Denver Art Museum, The National Gallery, Yale University, and the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center.

The exhibition will be at the IDEA Space in Cornerstone at CC until June 15 (closed May 15-22).
