CC Professor Receives Federal Grant for Human Trafficking Research
Political science professor, Dana Wittmer, recently received federal funding to conduct research in Moldova and Ukraine on human trafficking. To help USAID more effectively combat global human trafficking, the agency awarded Dana and her collaborators at Texas Christian University an 18-month, $180,983 grant for their research project.
Dana and her colleagues will administer a public opinion survey to 2,000 participants in Moldova and Ukraine to understand local perspectives on human trafficking and research “how participants’ knowledge and perceptions can be influenced to change behaviors and practices related to human trafficking.”
It is wonderful, and not surprising, to see our faculty working on important issues.
