CC Alumnus Raises Awareness of Bone Marrow Registry

Last Friday night, CC alumnus and St. Louis Blues forward, Jaden Schwartz, attended the Yale women’s hockey game against Brown with the entire St. Louis Blues hockey team in order to bolster awareness of the “Be the Match” national bone marrow registry.  The fourth annual “White Out for Mandi” fundraiser is in support of Jaden’s sister, Mandi, who was a forward on the Yale Bulldogs women’s hockey team before she succumbed to acute myeloid leukemia in April of 2011.  Since the Mandi Schwartz Foundation was established, they have helped add 3,852 new donors to the national registry and also found 21 matches for patients in need.  For more information on the Mandi Schwartz Foundation and their work, visit:
