Rhythm Nations: Transnational Hip Hop in the Street, in the Gallery, and on the Stage
IDEA’s new exhibition, Rhythm Nations: Transnational Hip Hop in the Street, in the Gallery, and on the Stage opened on Monday, March 24 and will be up through May 8th. On Thursday, March 27 at 4:30pm, CC faculty members Idris Goodwin, Santiago Guerra, and Naomi Wood will engage in conversation with featured artists Ruben Aguirre, Jaque Fragua, and Kelly Monico. A reception will follow the panel and all are welcome! There are many wonderful artworks, performances, discussions, and films planned to connect to the exhibition, including two public murals: one by artist Ruben Aguirre outside IDEA Space and one on the Whitney Electric Building (in the parking lot adjacent to Wooglins) by Jaque Fragua. Check out all of the upcoming IDEA events here.
