It’s the last day of Block 7, and students are finishing papers, exams, and presentations before they relax over Block Break.
Last night, students in studio art courses hosted open house exhibitions, providing their peers with a refreshing study break. Casey Millhone ’22 collaged an image of her pants for her final project (right), and Rosie Smith ’22 drew a four-piece study, with each frame zooming in closer on a horse’s eye (lower left). Both Casey and Rosie took Lecturer and Artist-in-Residence Jean Gumpper’s course, Art Studio Foundations: Drawing.
When I stopped by Tutt library last night with hundreds of chocolate chip cookies, the buzz of Fourth Week was in the air. Below (top left), Devan Udall ’22 gets a sugar boost to fuel his studying.
Thirty-one blocks down, and one more to go for our graduating seniors. Wishing all of our students a rejuvenating block break!
