Professor Taber Featured on CPR

Congratulations to Professor Mike Taber (Education) who was featured in Colorado Public Radio’s (CPR) April 10 piece, “What Does It Take to Get a Teacher Interested in Rural Schools? A Field Trip.” The story explored a “rural immersion” program co-founded by Professor Taber and Robert Mitchell, assistant professor at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. The program aims to get college students interested in education in rural districts experiencing teaching shortages. Twenty students, most of whom attend CC or UCCS, visited schools in the Kim, Pritchett, Walsh, Springfield, Campo, and Vilas rural Colorado school districts.
