Siddoway, Collaborator Receive Research Funding from NSF

Congratulations to Professor Christine Siddoway (Geology) and her collaborator Reed Scherer (Northern Illinois University), who were awarded a grant from the National Science Foundation. This grant will allow Siddoway, Scherer, and their team to study the sediment cores that were drilled while Professor Siddoway was a shipboard scientist on the International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) expedition in the Amundsen Sea, Antarctica, last spring.

This is Christine’s third active NSF award in support of research into the bedrock evolution and glaciation history of West Antarctica. Watch the video below to learn more about her involvement in IODP and Antarctic research.
