SONG OF THE DAY: Frank Ocean — “Voodoo”

Frankie O' (don't worry, were friends so I can use nicknames) just released the following track on his tumblr, by which I mean to say his website. It's got a classic "love you baby" r&b background with slightly odd but actually pretty poetic lyrics. It's short but I sure hope there is more of this on whatever upcoming project it's from. Frank-Ocean-Voodoo Enjoy! Teo is a sophomore at CC. He has a radio show every Tuesday 7-9pm, it's got all sorts of stuff. Check it out.

SONG OF THE DAY: Adele — Rolling in the Deep (Jamie XX Remix) ft. Childish Gambino

Adele - Rolling in the Deep (Jamie xx remix) ft. Childish Gambino (wemakeitbetter) by JThunder Adele's soulful voice with the bass drum puts the song in a completely new area, and Childish Gambino doesn't enter until half way through, but adds another stellar layer to the song.  Also if you haven't yet, be sure to check out CAMP, Gambino's most recent album released late 2011.

UPCOMING SHOW: Atmosphere, Common, and Grieves at Red Rocks 1/27

If tickets aren't sold out yet, they'll go soon, so get on that. This is the first winter show Red Rocks has ever hosted. Ever. This song is "Guns and Cigarettes" by Atmosphere, off the album Lucy Ford. Slug is one of my favorite MCs ever, and puts on a great show. Grieves is also coming into a style all his own, and is from Colorado. I can't speak for Common, but it's sure to be a great time.
