Lead singer and songwriter Ruban Nielson articulates the confusing challenges that polyamorous love poses to his concept of conventional relationships and gender roles with lines like \u201cShe don\u2019t want to be a man or a woman\/ She wants to be your love\u201d and \u201cWe were one, then become three,\u201d singing with an anxious sense of urgency in spite of his playful lyrics.
