“An Urban Nutcracker: A Holiday Tradition Remixed” is an original production presented bi-annually by Springs Dance with Brazilian Capoeira and Mountain Shadows Aerial Silks. Tchaikovsky’s classic score is the point of departure for this contemporary production that includes everything from classic remixes, jazz and tap, to circus arts, Afro-Brazilian dance, and much much more!
No sleepy nutcracker, this is a memorable show that provides high-energy holiday fun for the whole family.
Performances are Saturday 6:00 – 8:00 PM and Sunday 2:00 – 4:00 PM.

The Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble, a regionally acclaimed chamber choir of 30 auditioned voices under the direction of Deborah Teske, presents “Wintersong: A Celebration of the Season.” This event, combining spoken word with traditional and modern choral works has become a beloved holiday tradition. Two performances, December 15th and 16th at 7:30pm, offered in the candlelit splendor of Shove Chapel on the Colorado College campus. Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble presents all concerts free of charge to audiences. It is part of the mission to keep their music accessible to all. Free to the public. Donations are gratefully accepted.

CC students, staff and faculty are welcome to RSVP to Innovation at CC’s third laser cutter training workshop on Friday, Dec 15th, from 3 to 5pm. There are two spots left in this workshop so email Suzie at smcmurtry@coloradocollege.edu to confirm a spot ASAP!

This workshop is just a preliminary introduction to the process so there’s no need to bring a project of your own this time. Once you’ve undergone this training, you are eligible to use the machine during the week approximately 9am – 7pm during our open makerspace hours.

To help accommodate students who will be staying on campus, Rastall Café will be open Thursday December 21st and Friday December 20th from 12-1pm for lunch service only. On these days staff club plans and department coupon books will not be accepted. We will be accepting cash or debit/credit card only. Rastall Café will be closed Saturday December 22nd through Saturday January 6, 2018. Re-opening for dinner service at 5 pm on Sunday January 7th for half block limited operations.
