This Thursday, the Math&CS department invites Dr. Talithia Williams to speak for CC’s annual Robert’s lecture in collaboration with the FemSTEM Symposium. Dr. Williams is a former NASA researcher and current statistics professor at Harvey Mudd College.
On Thursday Feb.22, she will give a lecture titled Transforming the STEM Landscape: A Lesson in Disruptive Innovation. This event is free and open to the public. There will be a reception with light refreshments held in Armstrong lobby at 5 pm, followed by the lecture at 6 pm in the Kathryn Mohrman Theatre.
On Friday the 23rd at noon , she will also give a fearless Friday talk titled Know Thyself: Introspective Personal Data Mining. It will take place in Olin 1,which is the classroom below the fishbowl. There will be drinks and pizza accompanying this talk.
