Today the Math&CS department invites Dr. Talithia Williams to speak for CC’s annual Robert’s lecture in collaboration with the FemSTEM Symposium. On Friday, she’s giving a fearless Friday talk.

Robert’s Lecture: Transforming the STEM Landscape: A Lesson in Disruptive Innovation.

Time: Reception with light refreshments at 5 pm, lecture at 6 pm.
Location: Armstrong Hall Kathryn Mohrman Theatre.

Fearless Friday Talk: Know Thyself: Introspective Personal Data Mining.
Time: Friday Feb.23 at 12 pm.
Location: Olin 1 (classroom below the fishbowl).
There will be pizza and drinks accompanying this talk.

About Dr. Talithia Williams
Dr. Talithia Williams is a multi-talented statistician, professor, speaker, and host of PBS’s Nova Wonders. Her TED talk “Own your body’s data,” has been viewed over 1.4 million times. Formerly a statistician at NASA, Dr. Williams is currently the Associate Dean for Research and Experiential Learning at Harvey Mudd College.
