“Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED” is a video-based, instructor-led course that teaches students critical skills needed to respond to and manage an emergency until emergency medical services arrives. Skills covered in this course include first aid; choking relief in adults, children, and infants; and what to do for sudden cardiac arrest in adults, children, and infants.

The Retirement Committee regularly reviews the investment options available in the retirement plan. Recently the committee, upon the recommendation of our investment consultant, made some changes to the investments available in our retirement and Emeriti plans. The changes were made to address fees and volatility issues:

The Target Date Funds will move from Lifecycle Funds to Lifecycle Index funds. This change has a similar investment strategy, but by indexing the approach allows us to further lower cost. This same change will be made in the Emeriti investment options.

Wasatch Small-Cap Growth equity option in Tier 3 will be replaced with Conestoga Small Cap Institutional; TIAA-CREF Large Cap Value Premier equity option in Tier 3 will be replaced with MFS Value R6.

The Whiz Bang children’s summer program begins this Monday, July 9 and will run M-F through July 20. Families will drop off their children at the Armstrong parking lot at 8:30 am and return for pickup at 11:30 am. For your personal convenience, steer clear of the Armstrong Lot 8:30-9:00 am and at 11:30-12:00 noon through July 20.

The CC children’s summer programs serve as teaching labs for the Master of Arts in Teaching program and for Noyce summer fellows. Thank you very much for your support of CC’s graduate programs.
