Spectrum for Faculty and Staff is a teaching and learning experience for individuals who are seeking a better understanding of gender identity, gender expression, and sexuality; the gender and sexuality binaries; and their own positionality in relation to these topics. All faculty and staff are invited to join the Butler Center as we explore these topics on Wednesday, Feb. 27 from 3-5 p.m. in the Cornerstone Flex Room (#130).

The Friends of CC Host Program is a Butler Center initiative that connects CC students who live 50 miles or more away from campus with CC faculty and staff who serve as hosts during weekends, block breaks and extended breaks (Fall, Winter, Spring) during the academic year. The aim of this program is to facilitate intercultural learning and build relationships that transcend geographical divides.

A conversational performance with Denise Young Smith, soprano and Ryan BaƱagale, piano. Why is it that nearly a century after its emergence, the music of George Gershwin continues to engage audiences around the world? Singer-songwriter and corporate executive Denise Young Smith and Colorado College Music Professor Ryan BaƱagale engage this question by exploring the ways we experience Gershwin’s music. This conversational lecture-performance includes standards from the Gershwin songbook as well as little-known pieces from the Gershwin archive. This event is free and open to the public. No tickets required.
