Join us on October 25th at 7pm as multi-instrumentalist, composer, and trumpet master, Nicholas Payton, will be live in concert with the Colorado Springs Philharmonic, featuring two masterworks rarely encountered in the concert hall: “Sketches of Spain” and “Black American Symphony” (United States premiere). Both works highlight the contribution of Black American music to the world, here through the lens of symphonic music. “Sketches of Spain”- the renowned 1960 concept album by Miles Davis and Gil Evans – explores and reinterprets the melodies, harmonies, and rhythms of Spain.
Free tickets for CC Students, Staff, and Faculty are available at the Worner Desk, (one per CC ID, supply limited).
Buses will be transporting students, staff, and faculty from Armstrong starting at 6pm.
The concert is produced by Colorado College under the auspices of the Colorado College Africana Intellectual Project and Office of Performing Arts.

Total Compensation & Benefits Statements for full- and part-time
benefits eligible employees are now available on SSB.
The personalized statement displays the value of your compensation and benefits as an employee of Colorado College.
The college invests significantly in a full menu of offerings designed to support your physical, mental, emotional, and financial wellbeing. Some of those benefits are highlighted on your personalized Total Compensation & Benefits Statement. Others, like access to the Adam F. Press fitness center for you and your dependents, the annual biometric screening and other “Wellness State of Mind” events as well as professional development opportunities available through EXCEL@CC are not monetized on the statements.
To view yours:
1. Go to www.coloradocollege.edu/ssi
2. Choose Banner (SSB), sign-in using your network credentials
3. Choose “Employee” Tab
4. Choose “Benefits & Deductions”
5. Choose “Total Compensation and Benefits Statement”
6. Choose Jul 01, 2018 – Jun 30, 2019 in the drop-down box, press select
The left side of the statement includes 2018-19 data; the right side of the statement includes selected 2019-20 data.
Please note that the vacation days on your statement indicate your accrued vacation balance the day the statements were run, not the amount of vacation you will earn in 2019-20.
You will not have a statement if you didn’t receive any pay during the 2018-19 fiscal year. However, you may still see your current benefit elections in Banner (SSB) by following these steps:
· Follow steps 1-4 above
· Choose Current Benefit Selection
Please call Laurie Mozingo (389.6422) if you have any questions about your statement and benefit election information.
