Come and join the Meditation Teaching: “Contemplation in Action: The Practice, Role, and Power of Meditation in Individual and Social Transformation” with Rev. Mac Legerton. It is taking place on Tuesday, April 4 at 5 pm in the Sacred Grounds Coffee House. Legerton is a long-time teacher and organizer for social and environmental justice and indigenous rights. Join our first Chinese scholar Mr. Tao Liu’s Anthropology Talk “The Rise and Fall of Civil Society in Contemporary China” TODAY @5:30pm in WCC WES room. This speech examines the history of NGOs in contemporary China and argues that ‘civil society’ is a narrative and interpretation that shape and mobilize the movement of NGOs in China.
