On Friday, April 6, please join us for the second event in this year’s MacLean Symposium on Writing as Craft and Career: In Honor of Ruth Barton at 4:00 PM in the Cornerstone Screening Room. Six acclaimed authors who studied under Ruth Barton at CC will join in the panel discussion, “CC Alumni Writers on Writing as a Career:” Michael Nava, novelist; David Owen, journalist; Russell Martin, novelist and nonfiction writer, Jeannette Barnes, poet and editor; Alan Prendergast, journalist, and David Mason poet, writer and CC professor, as they discuss how to envision a career as a writer. Whether you are thinking of poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, or journalism, these very successful writers want to share their stories, advice, and hear your questions.
