The class will be held in Menorca, Spain (one of the Balearic islands). The course consists of an introduction to excavation techniques, processing and cleaning of finds, and some history of the site and region. There are no pre-requisites or experience needed or required. There is no foreign language required, though if you speak Spanish you’ll likely find that quite helpful. We will be excavating a building complex that dates from the 4th-6th centuries AD. We will begin excavating almost right away after we arrive and get in as many days as we can, but we will also take some field trips around the island to learn about its history. The class fulfills the SI-L requirement.
If interested please fill out the following application asap: www.surveymonkey.com/r/D222CSQ
