Meet Jo Lingenfelter for the first 5 Under 25 program of the year!

Jo graduated from CC in 2015 with a degree in Italian…and without a firm plan of where to go next. Fast-forward to 2016, when Jo applied her skills in learning a language to an entirely new kind of communication: coding. By teaching herself to code as if she was learning a new language, Jo landed a job as an iOS Developer for Mobelux, an award-winning mobile and web software application development company.

Join Jo for a small group conversation, where she will share insights into how the Block Plan prepared her for success after CC, and how to navigate the “real world” with a humanities degree.

When? Tuesday, October 2, 12:15pm
Where? The Career Center

Today! Meet Uli Nasibova ’06, a former Wall Street research and investment manager turned food entrepreneur, for her talk “Underwater Basket Weaving in Real Life: How The Block Plan Prepared Me For Entrepreneurship”.

Several years later, Gelateria Uli has two locations and has been named “Best Gelato” by the Los Angeles Magazine. In this talk, Uli will speak about her experience being a food entrepreneur in Los Angles and how the unique structure of the Block Plan prepared her to handle the challenges of opening a business in a big city.

Today, October 1st, we will have the first Cafecito of the year at 4:30 pm at the Spanish Language House (next to the Career Center). 😀 The professor Daniel Arroyo will share with us part of the culture of Spain, so you are all invited to join us, practice or improve your Spanish, eat some Spanish Tapas, and share with friends.

Let everybody know!

Nos vemos.
