David Cole, the National Legal Director of the American Civil Liberties Union, is coming to CC on September 3rd to discuss “Defending Liberty in Perilous Times: Why Courts Can’t Do It Alone, and What That Means for the Rest of Us.” The lecture will be at 7:00 PM in Kathryn Mohrman Theatre, and tickets are available at the Worner Desk!

Cole has litigated many constitutional cases in the Supreme Court including Masterpiece Cakeshop v. Colorado Civil Rights Commission, in which the ACLU represented a gay couple refused service by a bakery because they sought a cake to celebrate their wedding.

The lecture will be followed with audience questions and a book signing.

Please reach out to k_kenny@coloradocollege.edu with any questions!
