It’s been nearly a month since Commencement 2016 and the start of construction on CC’s new library. Check out photos and share yours with #tuttreno.
In this first stage of construction, crews have moved book collections and many materials to the Creekside facility. A renovation to Tutt Library South will accommodate circulation, research librarians, the CAT lab, and the Help Desk. A new ramp and entrance to Tutt south are nearly complete; for now, continue to use the main library entrance, off of Cascade Avenue.
Book Retrieval
Remember, request items through the online request system and pick them up at the Circulation Desk in Tutt Library North. Some collections are literally in transit; thanks for your patience if the wait time for picking up books is a bit longer than anticipated. We expect that this will be a short-term issue and that by the end of July all of the books will be easily accessible from Creekside.
Parking
Construction activity will affect parking across campus throughout the library project. The City of Colorado Springs is still reviewing the college’s proposed parking plan. You can submit parking permit requests August 1. The plan includes a proposal for parking in certain lots for a reduced fee.
