We’re starting to get excited about the new space!
We’re plotting the move into the new library, which may happen as early as May 24, for some individuals and offices. With just a few months until the doors open to the new library, here are a few highlights to look forward to:
- More than 20, 000 additional square feet of space
- Twice the seating capacity
- A net zero energy infrastructure
- New event spaces, classrooms, and meeting rooms
- A café with outdoor seating and a beautiful view of Pikes Peak
- Windows with plenty of natural light
- A green roof installation
- A central location with talented staff who are eager to help
Plus, CC’s library renovation project is making headlines, with a recent feature in the Gazette, complete with in-progress photos of the new space.
Taco Tuesday is back Tuesday, Feb. 28, 4-6 p.m. Look for the taco truck outside the Quantitative Reasoning Center at Gill House, 1105 N. Cascade Ave., near the Mod Pod. The first 60 students to come study at the QRC or work with a QRC tutor get a coupon for a free taco plate. Make some quiet time to write with snacks from the cupcake truck Thursday, March 9, 3-5 p.m. at the Mod Pod.
You can still apply to present in the inaugural TUTT Talks. Qualifying speakers will receive personalized coaching to prepare for their presentations and will be awarded a small cash prize. Contact julian.plaza@coloradocollege.edu.
