Why & How to Join AAUP

Becoming a formal member of AAUP is important! Demonstrating strength in numbers carries weight at the national and state level when AAUP advocates on issues. There are also many benefits for you in becoming a member. Not only do you have member access to toolkits for advancing academic freedom, you also get access to the full range of American Federation of Teachers (AFT) benefits.

Joining AAUP is simple. While membership dues are officially based on income tiers, there is no income verification and the CC AAUP chapter encourages any interested faculty member to join at whatever level you can afford. If you previously were an AAUP member you can renew here. The Colorado College chapter currently does not have separate local dues, however, donations for local needs are always welcome.
