The Career Center\u2019s virtual doors didn\u2019t close after the transition to distance-learning, and they won\u2019t close when the school year ends.<\/p>\n

In addition to scheduling calls for students to talk with career coaches, the Career Center has developed a guide to frequently asked \u201cCareer Questions & Concerns Amidst COVID-19<\/a>,\u201d recorded on-demand videos<\/a> to watch from home, and planned several alumni panels and \u201cGet-Started\u201d sessions. The Career Center is also collaborating with the Wellness Resource Center to host sessions centered around \u201cWellness & Career Strategies for Moving Forward<\/a>,\u201d with the next one on May 11 to be targeted toward graduating seniors.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur entire goal as the Career Center right now is just that students know we’re available to them or here for them whenever they’re ready to engage with the Career Services aspect of their career at CC,\u201d says Communications Fellow Amelia Atencio \u201918<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Some students will participate in virtual internships this summer, and some seniors still have job offers. Atencio says they received over 60 responses to the annual #hired and #gradschool social media campaigns designed to celebrate CC students and their newly landed jobs or plans for graduate school. And for those still searching, the Career Center is here to help and \u201cmeet students where they are\u201d with their current needs and priorities.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe just want students to know that there are jobs,\u201d Atencio says. \u201cAnd if they don’t find an internship, that’s okay \u2014 we’re going to equip them with other ways to use the time. And the best thing they can do if they’re feeling really stuck is just start having conversations with us.\u201d<\/p>\n
