{"id":860,"date":"2010-10-06T12:39:03","date_gmt":"2010-10-06T19:39:03","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blog.coloradocollege.edu\/atb\/?p=860"},"modified":"2010-10-06T12:39:03","modified_gmt":"2010-10-06T19:39:03","slug":"board-of-trustees-meeting-actions-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sites.coloradocollege.edu\/atb\/2010\/10\/06\/board-of-trustees-meeting-actions-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Board of Trustees Meeting Actions"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The CC Board of Trustees met September 23-25 at the El Pomar Foundation\u2019s Penrose House and conducted the following business.<\/p>\n<p>Swore in newly elected alumni trustee Karen Pope \u201970 and young alumni trustee Isabel Werner \u201908 (new pilot category).<\/p>\n<p>Voted to approve:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A bequest acceptance policy.<\/li>\n<li>A resolution formally establishing the presidential search committee and its charge.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The trustees met with over 80 faculty, staff, and students to hear their thoughts on the college\u2019s priorities and challenges and the desired experience and qualities of the 13<sup>th<\/sup> president.\u00a0 Representatives of the presidential search firm, Storbeck\/Pimentel, were on hand to listen as well.\u00a0 In addition, the trustees participated in substantive discussion sessions on diversity and on the liberal arts in the digital age, the latter led by Susan Ashley and David Weddle; attended a reception with local alumni and community members; and dined with the new faculty members and their mentors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The CC Board of Trustees met September 23-25 at the El Pomar Foundation\u2019s Penrose House and conducted the following business.
