The Alumni Leadership Forum held on the Colorado College campus in April was by all accounts a tremendous success. Current AAB members, CC event ambassadors, and City Champions attended the three-day workshop, which included a Career Services focus group led by Dean Mike Edmonds and Professor Larry Stimpert, sessions on the art of fundraising led by our Development Committee Chair Chris Schluter, and a fireside chat with President Jill Tiefenthaler. New this year was an alumni/ student networking session held on Friday evening at the new student-run bar, The Ninth Block.

Recipients of the CC Alumni Association Student Leader Scholarships were announced at the dinner on Saturday evening. This year’s scholarship recipients are: Hanna Berglund ’13, Ellen Scully ’13, and Katherine Smith ’14.

The AAB reached our goal of raising $25,000 over four years to contribute to the El Pomar Fitness Center Project.

This is the first time AAB has taken on a capital fundraising project and it was a great success. We are excited and proud that a central conference room available to all students will be named for the Colorado College Alumni Association.

Homecoming and Parents Weekend is coming up October 11–14 and we look forward to seeing alumni and parents on campus to renew friendship, meet new members of the CC community, and celebrate the many successes of Colorado College.
