class=\"p1\">1968<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\">The National Press Photographers Association recently gave its highest honor, the Joseph A. Sprague Memorial Award, to <b>David Burnett<\/b>. The award recognizes those \u201cwho advance and elevate photojournalism by their conduct, initiative, leadership, and skill, or for service or achievement beneficial to photojournalism and technological advances.\u201d David, the subject of an April 2014 <i>Bulletin<\/i> feature, has had photos published in magazines including <i>Life, National Geographic<\/i>, and <i>Time<\/i>, and has helped mentor and inspire photographers over a 50-year career. Several of Burnett&#8217;s works will be auctioned at Homecoming to benefit his class&#8217;s scholarship fund.<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\">1971<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><a received a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Institute for American Universities in Aix-en-Provence, France, where he was a student in 1969 and 1970. (It is also where he met his wife, Bambi.) Though he officially retired from undergraduate teaching at the University of Calgary last June, Ted is still working as a senior fellow at the Calgary School of Public Policy. Also in attendance at Ted\u2019s award event were Grant Williams \u201972 (far left) and Rick Shrader \u201969 (far right).<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\">1972<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Robert Saul<\/b> has earned the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award from \u201cMarquis Who\u2019s Who.\u201d Robert has spent nearly 40 years in medicine, including work in his current position as senior medical director of general pediatrics at Greenville (S.C.) Health System. He is also the author of \u201cMy Children\u2019s Children: Raising Young Citizens in the Age of Columbine\u201d (2013) and \u201cAll About Children\u201d (2017).<\/p>\n<h3 class=\"p1\">1974<\/h3>\n<p class=\"p1\"><b>Susan K. Dutcher<\/b>, a professor of genetics and the interim director of the\u00a0McDonnell Genome Institute\u00a0at the Washington University School of Medicine, has been selected a fellow by the American Association for the Advancement of Science.<br \/>\nShe is being honored for distinguished contributions to the field of cell biology, particularly for studies examining the assembly and function of cilia. Craig was named Wyoming Professor of the Year by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching in 2016 and is a past chair of the National Wildlife Federation. Inspired by studying Fountain Creek in Barry Huebert\u2019s environmental chemistry class, he went on to be a National Science Foundation fellow in stressed stream analysis.
