Allen Bertsche<\/p><\/div>\n

Allen Bertsche joined CC in January as the director of global education after eight years serving in a similar capacity at Augustana College in Illinois. Prior to transitioning full-time to the field of global education, Bertsche was a faculty member in Augustana\u2019s Spanish Department for 14 years, with a specialization in modern Spain. Originally from Long Island, New York, Bertsche received his B.A. from Indiana University, with a year spent at the Universidad Complutense in Madrid, before receiving both his M.A. and Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin. He has worked, lived, or traveled in more than 35 countries \u2014 and hopes to reach 50 before he retires.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
