Dr. Bon Ku, a practicing emergency medicine physician and director of the Health Design Lab at Thomas Jefferson University, created the first design thinking program at a medical school. Ku held a lecture and question-and-answer session in early March, followed by a convergence class the next day. The class included students from Amanda Bowman\u2019s Advanced Inorganic Chemistry class, Kristin Moore\u2019s Molecular Biology class, and Rachel Paupeck\u2019s Art Studio class. Ku\u2019s program tackles healthcare inequalities as a form of social justice and teaches future physicians to apply human-centered design to healthcare challenges.
