Award-winning educator and author Felicia Rose Chavez joins Creativity & Innovation as its first Bronfman Creativity & Innovation Scholar-in-Residence. The three-year residency allows Creativity & Innovation to become more integrated in the everyday lives of CC students.<\/p>\n

Dez Stone Menendez \u201902<\/strong>, director of Creativity & Innovation, says, \u201cFelicia embodies the program\u2019s goals to nurture students\u2019 creative capacities and to support the college\u2019s ongoing antiracist work. In this new role, Felicia\u2019s work has the potential to benefit our entire CC community.\u201d Chavez will work in collaboration with CC faculty members from all disciplines to develop and implement the curricular programs that will help build students\u2019 creative capacities. Chavez, who holds an MFA in creative nonfiction, is the author of \u201cThe Anti-Racist Writing Workshop: How to Decolonize the Creative Classroom,\u201d and co-editor of \u201cThe BreakBeat Poets Volume 4: LatiNEXT.\u201d She taught courses at CC in English and Film and Media Studies from 2012-18.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
