The award of $385,000 supports the 2022 Conservation in the West Poll and related student programming. The bipartisan poll surveys voters\u2019 views regarding the conservation of public lands, energy, water, wildlife, wildfire, and other challenges in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.<\/p>\n<p>The student engagement funding will be used for the following cross-disciplinary projects:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A survey of public land visitors<\/li>\n<li>A student photo contest<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/sites.coloradocollege.edu\/bulletin\/2022\/05\/vintage-style-posters-send-contemporary-conservation-messages\/\">Vintage-style (1930s) promotional posters<\/a><\/li>\n<li>\u201cDark Skies\u201d<\/li>\n<li>State of the Rockies\/CC Journalism Institute collaboration<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>For the 12th year, Colorado College\u2019s State of the Rockies Project was awarded a grant from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation.
