Song Richardson: Ignite Students\u2019 Potential and Create a More Just World<\/em><\/h2>\n

In all of her roles \u2013 civil-rights lawyer, criminal-defense lawyer, death-penalty lawyer, teacher, and scholar \u2013 L. Song Richardson has \u201calways been willing to stand alone for what is just and what is right, even when \u2014 or especially when \u2014 it\u2019s difficult,\u201d she said at her Aug. 29 inauguration as Colorado College\u2019s 14th president.<\/p>\n

Richardson, who began her presidency in July 2021, was drawn to CC because of its bold and courageous drive to live out values that match her own.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are a place that thinks differently,\u201d she said. \u201cWe dream big, and we do difficult things.\u201d<\/p>\n

She noted three monumental things that Colorado College has achieved:<\/p>\n
