After teaching for a couple of years in New Mexico, Lynne in 2003 worked with a grassroots group of parents and educators who proposed and implemented the first public Montessori in Colorado Springs in School District 11. Lynne attended the Montessori Education Center of the Rockies in Boulder to earn her American Montessori Society credential in early childhood education.<\/p>\n<h3><strong><strong>\u201991<\/strong><\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><strong>Ian Blake Newman<\/strong> finally married his long-term partner David Hemmer in Massachusetts in July 2009. They combined their names, so now it\u2019s officially Ian Blake <em>Newhem<\/em>. Since 1999, Ian has been an English professor in the Mentor\/Talented Students Honors Program of the State University of New York, Rockland, where he used to unhappily chair the humanities, behavioral, and social sciences division, but now just happily teaches Chaucer, Milton, Melville, and children\u2019s literature. \u2022 <strong>Tammy Gravenhorst Berberi<\/strong> reports that last year she was awarded tenure and promoted to the rank of associate professor of French at the University of Minnesota-Morris. Her daughter, Andelys Grace Berberi, was born on Dec. 7, 2009. \u2022 <strong>Lt. Col. Chris Gruber<\/strong> is still in the U.S. Army and serving with the 62nd Medical Brigade at Bagram in Afghanistan through April 2011. \u201cThis is my fourth and hopefully last combat tour. Hall. She also appeared in the last season of \u201cThe Shield\u201d that was produced by another CC alum, <strong>Kevin Cremin \u201976<\/strong>. Says Katie, \u201cBoth \u2018Dexter\u2019and \u2018The Shield\u2019 are dramatic roles and that is the kind of work I love and am focusing on.\u201d<\/p>\n<h3>\u201994<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Greg Pritham, M.D<\/strong>. completed his residency training in urology at the University of New Mexico in June. Greg and his wife <strong>Whitney Wieggel Pritham \u201996<\/strong>, a nurse practitioner, are moving their little family to Bozeman, Mont., where Greg will start work as a urologist at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital.<\/p>\n<h3>\u201995<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Alexander Salazar<\/strong> opened Alexander Salazar Fine Art in March 2010 in downtown San Diego. The gallery features the work of emerging artists as well as renowned painters and sculptors. Alexander holds a master\u2019s in theology and art from Harvard University and a second master\u2019s in sociology and art from Boston College. It stars George Clooney and is being filmed on Oahu, Hawaii. \u2022 <strong>Jeremiah Brophy<\/strong> was hired as technical director for the Lebanon Opera House in Lebanon, N.H., in February. This 800-seat venue will host Blues Traveler, Richard Marx, and Steven Wright this summer. Jeremiah also was elected vice president for I.A.T.S.E. Local 919 in Burlington, Vt., in the fall.
