Randle \u201cKeller\u201d Kimbrough<\/strong> has returned to the University of Colorado-Boulder after a sabbatical year in Japan. Keller was working on his second book, \u201cWondrous Brutal Fictions: Buddhist Sermon Ballads and Miracle Tales of\u00a017th Century Japan.\u201d<\/p>\n

\"Hockey<\/a>

Gord Whitaker \u201987 and Brian Bruininks \u201992 play on a senior men\u2019s hockey team for Delta Airlines and competed in an international hockey tournament in Zell am See, Austria, in October 2010. Thirty-five teams from 10 countries were represented in the tournament. The Delta team took first place in their bracket. Hawaii Gov. Neil Abercrombie appointed Rep. Maile Shimabukuro<\/strong> to represent Senate District 21. She fills the seat left vacant by Congresswoman-elect Colleen Hanabusa, who represented the Waianae Coast. Maile represented the Waianae Coast district since 2003. She is also an attorney with Legal Services Organization, where she specializes in family, housing, public benefits, and consumer court and administrative proceedings. She is involved in many community organizations, including Mao Organic Farms, Leeward Community College Waianae Community Advisory Board, and People\u2019s Path. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Stephanie J. Cohen<\/strong> has been appointed firm-wide diversity partner at McCarter and English, a law firm in Newark, N.J. Previously, Stephanie was partner and former co-chair of the firm\u2019s Women\u2019s Initiative. She is based in the Newark office, where she is a partner in the business and financial services litigation group. She will maintain her legal practice, and will also coordinate the implementation of various initiatives designed to enhance the recruitment, development, and retention of women and attorneys from diverse backgrounds.<\/p>\n

\"Car<\/a>

While vacationing in Florida, Randy and Melea Madsen Benzel (both Class of \u201992) stumbled upon a classic car show and found the perfect Pontiac to pose with. Randy and Melea live in Castle Rock, Colo., and own Pure BI, Inc., an IT consulting company.<\/p><\/div>\n

Dave Walter<\/strong> has joined the Arvada Rotary Club in Arvada, Colo. Dave operates his own marketing company, Rely Local, and promotes Arvada businesses on his website, RelyLocalarvada.com<\/span>, with the motto \u201cFollow Us On Facebook.\u201d He lives in Arvada with his wife, Jodi, and their son, Luke.<\/p>\n

Karin Sipman Greer <\/strong>and her husband, Dan, live in East Windsor, N.J., with their three sons, Ryan, 7, Cian, 4, and Jack, born in October 2010. Karin is a physician assistant and works in obstetrics\/gynecology part time. She\u2019s been enjoying her online reunion with Jenn Bascom Dalglish<\/strong>, as they were pregnant at the same time and delivered their sons three weeks apart.<\/p>\n

Matt Banks<\/strong> oversees Climate Savers, a partnership program for leading companies taking action to cut their emissions. Matt is based in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n

Chad T. Nitta,<\/strong> an attorney who focuses on complex business litigation with an emphasis on intellectual property disputes, has been named a partner in the law firm Kutak Rock LLP, in Denver.<\/p>\n

Abigail Washburn<\/strong>, a traditional banjo player and singer, was featured in an article in the New York Daily News<\/em>
\nthat focused on her latest CD. Married to musician Bela Fleck, Abigail established herself with cross-cultural music. She put together a demo filled with songs in both English and Mandarin. Her latest CD features collaborations with indie-rock stars and producers, including ones associated with My Morning Jacket and the Decemberists.<\/p>\n

\"Crater<\/a>

Mary Lyon-Hannigan and Barry Hannigan (both Class of \u201973) met up with Sara Fry \u201996 and her husband Elliott Stoddard in August 2010, for three days of camping and hiking in Crater Lake National Park.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
