He will be in charge of overseeing the strategic growth of the company\u2019s networks and new properties and operations.<\/p>\n<h3>\u201993<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Matthew Burkley<\/strong> has been named chief executive officer at Genscape, Inc., a DMG information company and leading global provider of energy fundamentals information for commodity and financial markets. Matthew was most recently chief financial officer of the sales and trading division of Thomson Reuters.<\/p>\n<h3>\u201995<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Brigid Maher<\/strong> was granted tenure and promoted to associate professor of American University. Jonathan had been serving as controller and director of finance at Johnson Controls. At the Music Academy, he oversees accounting, investments, budgetary administration, human resources, database administration, and information technology. Founded in 1947, the Music Academy is among the nation\u2019s preeminent summer schools and festivals for gifted young classical musicians.<\/p>\n<h3>\u201996<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Jack Hayes<\/strong> is assistant editor for book reviews and China- and Central Asia-related manuscripts for the journal <em>Environmental History<\/em>. He is also a professor of history at Norwich University in Vermont, and is working on a manuscript on ethnic relations, regional economies, and environmental history in western China\u2019s Sichuan Province.<\/p>\n<h3>\u201998<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Emily Kendal Frey<\/strong> won the 2010 Cleveland State University First Book Prize for \u201cThe Grief Performance.\u201d Judge Rae Armantrout wrote of her work, \u201cEmily Kendal Frey performs grief and dread as a graceful dance, the kind the tree you\u00a0cut down in your backyard might do on your heart. This work is light, deft, dangerous.\u201d She also is the author of \u201cAirport,\u201d \u201cFrances,\u201d and \u201cThe New Planet.\u201d She lives in Portland, Ore.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Adam Kim <\/strong>is a partner and board-certified gastroenterologist at Minnesota Gastroenterology, P.A., in St. Paul, Minn.\u00a0He was the editor of \u201cProbiotics: A Clinical Guide.\u201d<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 160px\" class=\"wp-caption alignright\"><a class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Andrew Borene \u201998\" href=\"http:\/\/blog.coloradocollege.edu\/bulletin\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/15\/files\/tigerwire-december-2011\/98-24d.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"ngg-singlepic ngg-right \" alt=\"Andrew Borene \u201998\" src=\"http:\/\/blog.coloradocollege.edu\/bulletin\/wp-content\/blogs.dir\/15\/files\/tigerwire-december-2011\/thumbs\/thumbs_98-24d.jpg\" width=\"150\" height=\"100\" \/><\/a><p class=\"wp-caption-text\">Andrew Borene \u201998<\/p><\/div>\n<p><strong>Andrew Borene<\/strong> has been named director of government and industry affairs and assistant general counsel at ReconRobotics, a world leader in tactical micro-robot systems. Andrew will be responsible for building the company\u2019s government relations activities and supporting federally funded research and development programs. He came to ReconRobotics from LexisNexis, where he was a manager supporting large contract programs with U.S. defense and intelligence agencies.\u00a0Previously, he was associate deputy general counsel at the Pentagon. A former U.S. Marine military intelligence officer\u00a0who served in Iraq, he began his professional career as an investment banking associate with Wells Fargo and Co.<\/p>\n<h3>\u201999<\/h3>\n<p><strong>Kristan Markey<\/strong> and his wife, Elena, are in Paris, where Kristan is serving as a governmental liaison at the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development to foster the safe and environmentally sustainable use of nanomaterials. Kristan reports his colleagues \u201cthink something is truly amiss when a vegan is posted to France.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Cricket S. Myers<\/strong> received a Drama Desk Award and a Tony nomination for her design of \u201cBengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo\u201d this year. She is a Los Angeles-based sound designer. She was previously nominated for three Ovation Awards in 2010, and has been named sound designer of the year multiple times by StageSceneLA.
