As a result, the overall acceptance rate for the class was 22 percent, an all-time low. Additionally:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nearly 2,800 applications were received under the Early Decision or Early Action plan<\/li>\n<li>36 percent acceptance rate for Early Decision applicants<\/li>\n<li>30 percent acceptance rate for Early Action applicants<\/li>\n<li>12 percent acceptance rate for Regular Decision.\u00a0The admit rates for all three rounds represent all-time lows for the college.<\/li>\n<li>30 percent of admitted students self-identified as students of color<\/li>\n<li>\u20288 percent are American ethnic minorities<\/li>\n<li>Nine percent are international students<\/li>\n<li>Top five states for admitted students: Colorado, California, Massachusetts, Illinois, and New York<\/li>\n<li>Top three sending countries: China, Singapore, and the United Kingdom<\/li>\n<li>524 first-year students enrolled in the fall<\/li>\n<li>45 students will begin in January 2014 as part of the Winter Start program<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Colorado College received 5,775 applications for the Class of 2017, an all-time record high.
