After playing four seasons with the Chicago Blackhawks, he owns pizzerias in southern Colorado, leads youth hockey camps, and is a philanthropist.<\/p>\n<p><b>Bob Shake<\/b> has joined Denali Alaskan in Anchorage as the credit union\u2019s chief lending officer; he is responsible for all lending activity, including indirect lending, member business lending, and mortgage loans, as well as loan control and loan collections. Previously, he spent more than 20 years in senior management positions at various Alaska financial institutions.<\/p>\n<h3>1981<\/h3>\n<p><b>Debbie Patton Swanson<\/b> is vice president of development for Early Connections Learning Centers in Colorado Springs. She has also worked in commercial banking, advertising, and public relations. She lives in southwest Portland with her husband, Mike Urness, and children Jack, 8, and Laney, 7.<\/p>\n<p><b>Bill C. Berger<\/b> has been appointed to the Denver Fisher House Foundation board of directors. The foundation provides a \u201chome away from home\u201d for veterans and military families to be closed to loved ones during hospitalization for illness, disease, or injury.\u00a0 Bill is providing strategic direction for the organization and will assist in fundraising, in particular for the $3 million capital campaign under way to build a new home for the group and the veterans and families it serves.<\/p>\n<h3>1987<\/h3>\n<p><b>Phil Davis<\/b> left the corporate world last year and is now semi-retired. He spent 20 years racking up more than 2 million frequent-flier miles as a management consultant and partner at Towers Watson, a global human resources consulting firm. When he\u2019s not on his skis, he can be found mountain biking near his home in the Ken Caryl valley west of Denver. He tries not to let his new business, Sales Effectiveness Consulting Group LLC, interfere with his lifestyle.<\/p>\n<h3>1988<\/h3>\n<p><b>Brian Grossman<\/b> took on a major challenge in March \u2014 the Cape Epic, an endurance mountain bike race that covers 715 kilometers with 48,720 vertical feet of climbing and temperatures of 100 degrees and higher over eight days in South Africa. His time of 55:10.31 put him at No. 473 in the master\u2019s division. Brian is motivated by generating support for the nonprofit he founded, KIDS in the GAME, which provides underprivileged kids access to sports programs. <b>Mike Travers \u201987<\/b> produced a video about the initiative (<a href=\"http:\/\/kidsinthegame.org\/capeepicchallenge\" target=\"_blank\">kidsinthegame.org\/capeepicchallenge<\/a>).<\/p>\n<h3>1989<\/h3>\n<p><b>J. Victor (Vic) Peterson<\/b> has joined SmithAdmundsen LLC in its Chicago office. Vic has more than a decade of broad experience in mergers and acquisitions, securities law, and general corporate law. He earned his Ph.D. in philosophy from Northwestern University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Chicago Law School.<\/p>\n<p><b>Courtney Kall Parker<\/b> has been accredited by the National Board of Certified Teachers as an early childhood generalist and has achieved master teacher status from the Colorado Department of Education.
